The first one is in Fort Sumner, New Mexico, where he was (allegedly) shot down at age 21 by Sheriff Pat Garrett on July 14, 1881. The grave is surrounded on all sides by a cage, and for a good reason—the headstone has been stolen twice by fans. But is Billy the Kid actually buried at that spot? Another man,
